Deleting your data

There is no account to delete

ReadIt does not ask you to sign up, and does not create a profile on a server. Your library, your position in each book, your cast choices, and your settings are stored in the app’s private storage on your phone.

Delete everything

Uninstalling ReadIt removes all of it: imported books, reading progress, cached narration, and settings.

• iPhone or iPad. Press and hold the ReadIt icon, choose Remove App, then Delete App.
• Android. Press and hold the ReadIt icon, then choose Uninstall.

This is immediate and cannot be undone. Books you imported remain wherever you originally kept the EPUB files.

Delete part of it instead

• One book. Remove it from your library, which deletes the book and its progress.
• Cached narration. Open Settings in the app and clear the cache. Your books and progress are untouched, and audio regenerates the next time you play it.

Subscriptions are separate

Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Cancel it through Apple or Google: on iPhone, open the Settings app, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and choose ReadIt.

Information held by our providers

A small amount of information reaches the providers described in the Privacy Policy, such as an anonymous purchase identifier at RevenueCat and anonymous crash reports. To request deletion of anything held there, write to starlexian@gmail.com with the date of your request. We will confirm within 30 days.
